| The
Holland & Holland had been neglected and not used for
many years. We restocked it with a lovely piece of
French Walnut, blacked the barrels, polished the locks
and re-cut some of the engraving. The owner was very
pleased. |

We also
offer a full in-house restoration service for fine
double guns.
All of
our work is performed by hand in our own shops and is to
the highest possible standards.
This
includes:
-
All types of barrel work including re-laying ribs,
altering chokes, removing dents, polishing bores
-
Re-storing Damascus barrels
-
Cold and hot re-bluing
-
Repairs to ejectors and lock work
-
Custom making of parts including springs and firing
pins.
Re-bluing of
vintage shotgun barrels, is much more than simply
re-coloring. We start by completely removing all
scratches and/or rust pits . The barrels are then
polished to a bright luster and treated in a special
solution which removes every trace of dirt and oil. Ribs
are re-laid if needed, and the barrels are then blued to
a deep color using a "cold" process that does not
disturb the solder holding the ribs.
We
take great pride in and fully guarantee all of our work.

About
the Photo-Gallery...
We
have recently completed for customers full restorations
of a Holland & Holland Royal (made circa 1894) Osborne 410 g double barrel side lock gun (circa
1900) including pairs of Stephen Grant and Woodward
shotguns
&
a
Tolley 12g side lock side-lever, ejector, best quality
double gun (circa 1895-1900).
The Osborne & Tolley guns were "found" in Western
Canada, and had been poorly stored and generally abused.
We
have in the past year restocked and refurbished several
guns including re-blacked barrels, put them
back on the "face", made and replaced numerous small
parts and polished and serviced lock-work.
