Breathing New Life & Value into Fine Old Double Guns

In our opinion nothing will enhance the pride of ownership, pleasure, beauty and value of a fine vintage double than having M& S restock it to your measurements

We take great pride in custom restocking fine double guns to our customers specifications using exhibition or high grade walnut woods from our huge in-house Inventory which we believe is the largest in the world.

Here are some pictures of our restocking work on some English "best" guns.

Once We have received Your Gun and "stock measurements" , we examine the gun carefully to advise you of its proof status and overall mechanical condition.

If you decide to proceed with having the gun restocked and or refurbished, We follow a six step process.

  1. You Select the Wood from our inventory of more than 4000 hand picked, air dried (min 6 years) blanks.
  2. We first make a working prototype of the stock to make sure the measurements are exact.
  3. Make the actual stock and fore-piece from the selected blank.
  4. Inlet and checker stock.
  5. Fit the stock and fore-piece and hand rub and polish (English matte or European gloss finish..your choice).
  6. Test Fire 25 shots to verify the integrity of the fit and durability of the stock.

This process currently  takes from start to finish approximately 12 to 18 months.

We also have a "Try Gun" made by the famous English gun maker Lang which enables us to more precisely establish your true measurements that will help  ensure  the best possible fit for your new custom stock. If you do not have your measurements, then drop in to see Cary for a "fitting"
